The subject of data protection is personal data within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 1 GDPR. This is all information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person. Berns collects, processes and uses your personal data only insofar as the GDPR, the BDSG or another legal provision allows or orders this or you as a user of our website have consented to the collection, processing and use.

5.1 General rights
You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to processing and data portability. If processing is based on your consent, you have the right to revoke this against us with effect for the future.
5.2 Rights in data processing based on legitimate interest
According to Art. 21 Paragraph 1 GDPR, you have the right at any time for reasons that arise from your particular situation to object to the processing of personal data relating to you which is based on Art. 6 Paragraph 1 e GDPR (data processing in the public interest ) or on the basis of Article 6 (1) f GDPR (data processing to safeguard a legitimate interest) to object this also applies to profiling based on this provision. In the event of your objection we will no longer process your personal data unless we can prove compelling legitimate reasons for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms or the processing serves to assert exercise or defend legal claims.
5.3 Direct mail rights
If we process your personal data in order to operate direct mail you have the right, in accordance with Art. 21 (2) GDPR to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of such advertising; this also applies to profiling. as far as it is related to such direct mail. If you have given us your consent to this, we will also use the data collected for the purposes outlined in Sections 9, 10, 11 and 12 for customer care.
